This is not a new article, but I am reposting it here as it remains relevant and provides context for a major project the Moose River Heritage and Hospitality Association is now planning: the 350th anniversary commemoration for Moose Factory in 2023. We see in this an opportunity to look at a much deeper and broader Cree history, and one of the oldest sites of continuous Indigenous-European relationship founded primarily on social, economic, cultural and spiritual reciprocity and intermarriage.
